"I always knew yoga would be good for me. What I didn’t know? Was whether I’d be good for yoga. I felt intimidated by other yoga classes. In fact, just thinking about taking a yoga class was outside my comfort zone. How things have changed! Now I want to tell everyone: Run don’t walk to Heidi Bock’s class. This yoga class has brought more to my life than I ever imagined. Heidi creates a supportive, accessible environment where instead of feeling like a neophyte; you become a student practicing a new craft. And while I’ve enjoyed learning about yoga and am thrilled by the unexpected workout it gives, what surprised me the most is that this class changed my relationship with my own body. I walk differently, I lie in bed differently, and get this - I stand on the ground differently – all subtle changes that have evolved over time which have culminated in better posture and less muscle and joint problems. I leave Heidi’s class refreshed and inspired. From her words, her teachings, to her spirit, Heidi is the kind of teacher everyone needs in their life." ~Carole Vasta Folley

I grew up in Vermont, majored in German and Music at UVM and then moved to Boston where I began my career in the financial industry as a corporate trainer and technical writer.
I gave birth to two delightful daughters who are now 9 and 14. In 2003 I made the decision to follow my heart, rather than do the usual responsible and practical thing, and attended a year long yoga teacher training with Deb Neubauer in Northampton, MA.
This training was the beginning of an incredible, courageous and life enriching journey in to the depths of my heart. I can now tell you from my own experience that when you listen deeply to what you know, your life will unfold in magical ways: doors will open, new friends and opportunities will arrive at just the right time, you will want more of that voice and your listening will deepen.
And…you must be willing to listen! Even if what you hear is hard. Have courage, trust in something bigger and life becomes incredibly rich and full and you will want to break open again and again like a peony in June.
Teaching yoga inspires me every day. I look forward to seeing my students each week and feel honored as their teacher to be able to hold up the mirror to reveal the beauty that I see before me. When a student sees this beauty for him or herself, healing happens both physically and in the heart.
